Dr. Ottenberg introduced Mykie, the kitchen elf. A cute robot that could soon be standing on the kitchen table to share useful tips. Over the coming years he should make it out of the current laboratory environment and into real-life kitchens, so he can become better acquainted with other connected devices in the home and get to know his new family.
Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management at Daimler AG and Head of the Mercedes-Benz Cars Division held the second keynote.
Dr. Zetsche provided insights on how the car will actively enhance passengers' well-being on the road and how the car has started to turn into a mobile personal assistant. With me connect Concierge Service, motion seating, community-based parking, and smart ready to drop, Dr. Zetsche presented the car as a quality time machine.
Mark Papermaster, Chief Technology Officer AMD gave unique insights into the new era of Virtual Reality.
To Mr. Papermaster, Virtual Reality is the logical advancement of a development that has already taken us from radio, to televisions, to computers and digital connectivity. We are now standing before the path to true virtual presence. The Internet of Things (IoT) is already revolutionizing everyday life.
Harriet Green, GM, IBM Watson IoT, Commerce and Education, was speaking about "Outthink Disruption: Innovation in the era of Cognitive Internet of Things".
Miss Green shared how IoT and cognitive capabilities are improving the lives of people around the world - by enabling better design and interface, by enabling innovative new services, and by unleashing the value of ecosystems of people, devices and more.
Green brought Olli with her onto the stage at CityCube Berlin. Olli is a driverless twelve-seater minibus with an electric drive.
