Events for trade visitors at IFA
This year the IFA International Keynotes will welcome you in Hall 6.3. International decision-makers will give unique presentations of their visions and plans for the future, and this year Masaaki Osumi from Toshiba Corporation and afterwards Keith McLoughlin of Electrolux will welcome visitors at the IFA Opening Keynote. Masaaki Osumi will report on the current situation and on forecasts from Japan, and in the afternoon Keith McLoughlin will talk about future trends in consumer electronics and home appliances. If you cannot be there in person then make use of our live streaming services, or watch afterwards with video on demand. IFA TecWatch is an unrivalled event combining an exhibition, communication and business platform. For anyone interested in the future of consumer electronics or home appliances this is the right place to be: fascinating themes such as living in the networked, virtual smart Home of ZVEI or 3D web apps will demonstrate the visions of the future and provide you with the latest insider’s knowledge. On 4 September IFA will present the sixth series of the serviceforum@IFA panel format, the meeting place for stockists, retail stores and retail groups from the consumer electronics industry. Meet with an exclusive circle of experts and discuss how Germany can be led into the digital age. High-ranking representatives of industry, commerce, broadcasting and the skilled trades will present current and future trends as well as their everyday best practices. Don’t miss medienpolitik@IFA, the specialist forum on 5 and 6 September. What is the best way to prepare the media industry for the second phase of the digital revolution? What new challenges does this pose for the media and for regulators? Answers to these and other questions about the future will be discussed in depth at medienwoche@IFA. medienpolitik@IFA is the forum that looks at the common issues of both the media and consumer electronics industries. Details of all the lectures, events and highlights are available from our events database

Oktoberfest at IFA – daily from 11 a.m. next to the radio tower
Smart dirndl dresses, Fliegerbräu Oktoberfest beer and savoury snacks from the “Wiesn“ – we are bringing the flair of Munich’s Oktoberfest to the heart of the capital. The traditional tapping of wooden barrels will take place daily at 6 p.m. and fittingly, bands from the “Wiesn“ will be getting visitors in the mood with their classic repertoire of songs. However, the FELIX ClubRestaurant is not only bringing musical hits from Munich to Berlin, but a taste of the “Wiesn“ as well. Thus guests will be able to celebrate with Oktoberfest beer from Fliegerbräu and enjoy chef Michael Liebig’s hearty snacks from the “Wiesn“. They include a “Brotzeitbrettl“, crisply barbecued Bavarian veal shanks, juicy farmers’ chickens, so that every guest can enjoy traditional Bavarian dishes both inside the pavilion or in the beer garden next to the radio tower.
