For the second time IFA is acting as partner of the European Film Market (EFM) Industry Debates at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Both IFA and the EFM have one significant feature in common: world premieres of the latest products and the latest content for the movie and entertainment industry.
The EFM Industry Debates, at which IFA serves as the official partner, are a forum for technical journalists, industry representatives and financiers to discuss the opportunities, challenges and possibilities offered by new technology and by new utilisation and distribution channels.
Jens Heithecker, IFA Director: “New technologies such as smart TV, 3D and networked home solutions are now an integral part of the entertainment sector and the movie industry. Content and the equipment industry have never been more closely interlinked than they are today. In view of this situation we are particularly pleased that IFA is acting as partner of the EFM Industry Debates.”
As a major cultural occasion the Berlin Film Festival is also one of the most important events for the international movie industry. The EFM is used by some 400 firms and 8,000 trade visitors from 100 countries to establish and develop contacts, position themselves within the industry and negotiate film rights.
