Who is the organizer of IFA?
IFA is organized by The German Association for Entertainment and Communications Electronics (gfu) in cooperation with Messe Berlin.
Are children allowed to attend the IFA by themselves?
Children who have not yet reached age 15 are only allowed to enter the fairgrounds if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Exceptions apply only if explicitly stated on postings at the ticket office.
Can I bring animals onto the exhibition grounds?

How many exhibitor badges do we obtain?
Exhibitor badges for exhibitors and their employees valid for the duration of the show will be issued as follows:
- For stands up to 20m² - 3 badges
- For each additional 10m² - 1 badge (double-storied structure excluded)
If additional exhibitor badges are required they can be ordered in the online shop.

Delivery to the stand
As an exhibitor you require materials to be delivered to your stand?
Please provide the following information:
Exhibitor: Company name + hall + booth + mobile phone number

Please note that you will be required to be present on the stand in order to take delivery of the material. It is therefore advisable to provide the forwarding company with your mobile phone number.
Do we need exhibitor badges for our stand personnel?
Stand personnel must have exhibitor badges. The badge is valid for the entire duration of the IFA, starting with the stand construction. Furthermore, the holder can access the exhibition site already two hours before the official opening of the show. This is not the case with day-tickets for public or trade visitors. Additional badges can be ordered using form "Additional construction/ dismantling passes" from the Exhibitor Service Manual.
Whom can I contact for additional stand personnel?
Capital Services GmbH (CSG), a subsidiary of Messe Berlin GmbH, would be pleased to help you arrange hostesses and hosts; use the form "Hostesses, Hosts" in the online shop.
Personnel for stand construction and removal, as well as staff for your stand, are available from the Bundesagentur für Arbeit (German Employment Office) in Berlin.

Shows and Events at the stand
We are exhibitors and would like to know how we can announce our own event in the IFA event search and the event brochure?
Please send us an e-mail with the name of your event, as well as the date, time, location and a brief description. Don't forget that you are required to register all events which take place in the evening; please use the respective form from the online shop.
Exhibitor and Product Search
Where do I find a complete list of all IFA exhibitors?
You can find information on all IFA exhibitors on the Virtual Market Place®. You can define your search by a variety of parameters such as exhibitor name, product name, product group and more. All information is continuously updated.
The IFA app can be synchronized with the Virtual Market Place.
Where can I get tickets for IFA?
Based on the current safety regulations we are organizing physical Live-Events, alongside a virtual extension.
Is IFA wheelchair accessible?
The Berlin Exhibition Grounds are wheelchair accessible. You can download a Exhibition grounds - barrier-free access here.
You are a trade visitor, if you can affirm one of the following statements:
- visiting IFA because of professional reasons and/or interest
- belong to the CE- or HA-trade (retailer, whole-sale)
- working in a company of the consumer electronics or home appliances industry, e.g. product development, sales, marketing
- writing for specialist media
- working in research/development institutes or in a management consultancy
What are my benefits as a trade visitor?

How can I register as a trade visitor?
Registration as a trade visitor takes place automatically with either the purchase of a trade visitor ticket or the submission of a ticket voucher. Before IFA starts, take advantage of convenient online registration at the IFA Ticketshop. During IFA, trade visitor tickets will be available at all IFA box offices at the entrances to the trade fair. If you are not from Germany please contact directly the foreign representatives of Messe Berlin in your country. Our representatives will help you to buy tickets and support you with your travel preparations to Germany.
Do trade visitors get automatically access to the separate dealer areas?
Access is not granted automatically. In some cases, an individual invitation from the exhibitor is required.

Where can I get information about conferences at the IFA or about the International Keynotes?
Please use event database on the IFA website where all events are listed and constantly updated. Further information is provided within the section EVENTS/International-Keynotes on the IFA website.
Where can I find the updated map of the exhibition site?
The map and hall allocation can be found on our website in the section About IFA. Please note that it is regularly updated.
Where can I find the plans of individual halls?
The plans will be available a few weeks before the show. They can be accessed at the Virtual Market Place®.
I am a journalist and would like to be accredited for the IFA. How does this work?

Are there official press days?
Yes, the official press days are on 4 and 5 September 2019, the two days before the official start of the show.

I need a visa - what do I need to do?
In July 2013 a decree was issued by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs that an invitation letter by the trade show organizer is as a rule no longer needed when applying for visa in order to attend a trade show in Germany. All Visa Centers as well as German Embassies and Consulates were informed about this decree (https://www.auma.de/en/exhibit/legal-matters/trade-fair-visa). Moreover visa fees are waived for exhibitors at German trade fairs (see also https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/einreiseundaufenthalt/visabestimmungen-node). Additional information regarding the visa application procedure, requirements for the issue and application forms in different languages are available at the website "visa regulations" of the German Foreign Office as well as at the respective websites of the embassies and consulates general. Persons requiring a visa to enter Germany should submit their applications in good time prior to the respective trade show.
A visa application is possible up to three months before entry.
