Christopher Steiner is a New York Times Bestselling Author of two books, including Automate This, How Algorithms Came To Rule Our World. An engineer, a writer and a dedicated tinkerer, his TED talk on algorithms has been viewed 160,000 times. He has written for Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The New York Times, Outside, and MIT Technology Review, among others. Steiner, an alumnus of Silicon Valley technology accelerator Y Combinator, cofounded Aisle50, which offered consumers subscriptions to products at brick and mortar stores, in 2010. Groupon acquired Aisle50 in 2015. Steiner now serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Northwestern University and a principal at Liberty Advisor Group, a technology consultancy. He loves to ski and built ZRankings.com, which uses more than 40 data points per mountain to help people plan ski trips according where the snow will be best.
