Lisandra Flach is the head of the Center of Foreign Trade at ifo Institute in Munich and CESifo Endowed Professor for Economics of Globalization at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. She received her doctorate from the University of Mannheim and hold research residencies at institutions such as Harvard University, Columbia University, and the University of California San Diego. She played a leading role in several policy consulting projects at the ifo Institute.

Philosopher and writer Peter Sloterdijk studied philosophy, history and German language and literature in Munich and at the University of Hamburg from 1968 to 1974.
