Leif Lindner, CEO at IFA Berlin
Leif Lindner is the appointed new CEO of IFA Management GmbH since 1 October 2023. This move highlights the company’s focus on long-term planning and innovation in the trade show industry. Leif Lindner’s extensive industry knowledge, sales experience, and leadership skills will strengthen IFA’s position as the leading global trade show.
Leif Lindner brings more than 25 years of industry expertise, including a significant tenure at Samsung Electronics Germany. His experience in multicultural settings and his wide industry network is a valuable assets in his role as Managing Director.
Global Markets
Global Markets at IFA 2024 was the international B2B area of the trade fair, where manufacturers, retailers and distributors from all over the world networked. The focus was on new business opportunities, international partnerships and market access. Small and medium-sized companies and suppliers in particular presented their products and innovations to a global trade audience.
Sommergarten
The Summer Garden is an open-air area at the IFA exhibition centre in Berlin. It is used for concerts, events and as a lounge area. During the trade fair, it serves as a venue for various programme items.
Stages
There were several stages for different topics at IFA 2024: The Innovation Stage offered strategic insights from leading industry representatives, while the Dream Stage presented visionary concepts and technologies. Press conferences and product presentations took place on the Inspiration Stage, while the Audio Stage focussed on sound innovations. The Creator's Stage was all about content production and modern film techniques.
IFA 2024
IFA 2024 took place in Berlin from 6-10 September 2024 and showcased the latest developments in consumer electronics, household appliances and digital innovation. Manufacturers from all over the world presented new products, while trade visitors and consumers explored trends such as AI, smart homes and sustainable technologies. Despite changes in the industry, IFA remains one of the most important trade fairs for electronics and technology.
IFA Next
IFA Next is the innovation area of IFA, where start-ups, research institutions and tech companies present new technologies and concepts. Prototypes, pioneering ideas and initial market launches are presented here. The area serves as a networking platform for investors, developers and industry experts.
Opening Gala
The IFA Opening Gala marks the official start of the trade fair. Invited guests from industry, media and politics come together for this evening, which traditionally includes speeches, musical performances and a reception. The event takes place in a festive setting and serves as a networking platform for leading representatives of the technology industry.
Superheroes Ball 2
The Superheroes Ball 2 took place on 26 July 2024 at Säälchen, Holzmarktstraße 25, Berlin. Organised by Father David Elle and supported by IFA, the event brought ballroom culture to the stage and celebrated individuality, freedom and expression. All ticket proceeds were donated to the Riccardo Simonetti Initiative e.V., which campaigns for equal rights and opportunities for all.
IFA Kick-Off
The IFA kick-off event marked the official start of the trade fair. Industry representatives, exhibitors and media representatives came together to gain initial insights into new technologies and trends. The event offered short presentations, networking opportunities and an overview of the trade fair programme.
